  • How often should I take singing lessons?
The frequency of lessons should be determined based on your goals, availability, and level of commitment to learning. We recommend twice-a-week lessons for beginners and late beginners. Intermediate and advance students may chose a frequency of lessons that will serve their desired pace of learning. Note: Consistent practice and instruction can help you build and maintain good habits, progress your skills, and ultimately achieve your goals more efficiently. However, we understand that scheduling can be a challenge for some students. If you cannot commit to twice-a-week lessons, once-a-week lesson may be an option. Keep in mind that less frequent lessons will require more independent practice and study time outside of lessons.
  • Do I need any prior experience to take singing lessons?
Our singing lessons are open to everyone, regardless of prior experience. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced singer, our instructors will tailor the lessons to your individual needs and skill level. We focus on building a strong foundation in vocal techniques, music theory, and performance skills, while also fostering confidence and enjoyment in singing. With our personalised approach, we'll work with you at a pace that's comfortable for you, helping you develop your skills and achieve your musical goals. • Can I get a refund?
We strive to provide exceptional vocal lessons and ensure that our students are satisfied with their progress. If, for any reason, you are not happy with your lessons, you can speak with our academic or course coordinator, and we will work with you to find a solution that meets your needs. However, we have a "No refund" policy, so we recommend that you enrol in our program only after being fully convinced through an assessment or trial session.
  • Can I cancel and reschedule a lesson I reserved?
Once slots are reserved, cancellation is not permitted. However, we understand that unexpected things can come up, and we will try to accommodate your scheduling needs within the constraints of our policy and availability so long as the need is genuine and the student maintains an excellent attendance record otherwise.
  • How long does it take to learn singing?
The length of time it takes to learn singing varies depending on several factors such as natural ability, level of commitment, practice schedule, and the complexity of the music genre. Some people may see progress in a few months, while others may take years to achieve their desired level of proficiency. Consistent practice and regular lessons will help you progress more quickly. On average, it may take several months to develop basic singing skills, and several years to achieve advanced vocal proficiency. However, the rate of progress is dependent on individual effort and regularity in attending classes and practicing. On an average we see students gaining basic technical proficiency in the first 3 to 6 months and basic expressive and dynamic proficiency in the first 1-2 years and steadily increase capabilities in compositional and creative thinking skills in just over a year and a few months. This rate of progress is dependant entirely on regularity in attending classes, commitment to practice and extensive music listening and transcription.
  • What is the best age to start taking vocal lessons for children?
The best age to start taking vocal lessons for children can vary based on individual factors, such as the child's physical development, emotional maturity, and interest in singing. However, we suggest that children can start taking formal voice lessons around the age of 8 or 9, once they have developed some basic reading and comprehension skills and their vocal cords have begun to mature and can engage in activity oriented learning in the ages of 5 or 6. It's important to note that every child is unique, and it's important to work with the child's individual abilities and needs.
  • Can I request specific songs to learn?
Absolutely! We encourage you to bring in songs that you want to learn, and we'll work with you to teach you the necessary techniques to play them.
  • How much time should I practice between lessons?
The amount of time you should spend practicing in between lessons depends on your goals, skill level, and schedule. Generally speaking, it's important to practice consistently, rather than for long periods of time all at once. Here are some general guidelines: Beginner students: For beginners, it's recommended to practice for at least 20-30 minutes per day, several times a week. As you progress, you can gradually increase the amount of time spent practicing. Intermediate students: For intermediate students, it's recommended to practice for 30-60 minutes per day, several times a week. Again, as you progress, you can gradually increase the amount of time spent practicing. Advanced students: For advanced students, it's recommended to practice for at least 60-90 minutes per day, several times a week. However, the amount of time spent practicing will depend on your specific goals and repertoire. Remember that the quality of your practice is more important than the quantity of time spent practicing. It's better to have a focused and productive practice session, even if it's shorter in duration. Your teachers will work with you to develop a practice routine that meets your specific needs and goals.
  • Are online vocal classes effective?
With high-quality online platforms, experienced teachers and specifically designed class methods for the digital learning experience, online classes can be just as effective as in-person lessons. Plus, you can avoid the hassle of transportation and enjoy the convenience of scheduling classes around your own schedule. Online music classes offer a flexible and convenient option for anyone looking to develop their musical skills from the comfort of their own home. Give online music lessons a try and see the benefits for yourself!

We accept various forms of payment including UPI, cash, credit/debit card, and online payment through our app, website or office. You can pay for lessons monthly or in packs.
  • What is the duration of a vocal lesson?
Our in-person lessons run for a duration of 55 minutes per hour and online lessons for 45 minutes.
  • What are the basic requirements that you'll need to have for online vocal lessons?
To take online vocal lessons, you'll need a few basic requirements: A computer, laptop, or mobile device with a stable internet connection. A webcam and a microphone, preferably built into your computer or laptop. If not, you can use an external webcam and microphone for better sound quality. A quiet and well-lit environment where you won't be disturbed during the lesson. Headphones or earbuds to improve audio quality and reduce feedback or echoes. A music stand to hold sheet music or song lyrics, if necessary. A willingness to learn and a positive attitude towards virtual learning. Overall, online vocal lessons can be just as effective as in-person lessons as long as you have the necessary equipment and a good learning environment.
  • Can adults join vocal lessons?
Yes, absolutely! Adults can learn to sing and improve their singing abilities through vocal lessons and practice. In fact, many adults start taking singing lessons later in life as a hobby or to improve their skills for personal or professional reasons. There are numerous benefits of adults taking music lessons. We believe that performing in front of an audience is an essential part of the learning experience and can help our students gain confidence and showcase their skills. We organise intramural recitals for our students, which are entirely free to participate in and open to all students. These recitals are a great way for our students to showcase their progress and receive feedback from their peers and instructors. We also offer other performance opportunities, such as ensemble performances or participation in community events, which may have associated fees depending on the specific event. We encourage all our students to participate in our recitals and other performance opportunities to gain valuable experience and showcase their hard work and dedication.

On an average we see students gaining basic technical proficiency in the first 3 to 6 months and basic expressive and dynamic proficiency in the first 1-2 years and steadily increase capabilities in compositional and creative thinking skills in just over a year and a few months. We encourage you to let us know in advance if you plan to take a break so we can work with you to minimise any disruptions in your music learning journey.
  • How should I purchase a guitar?
The type of guitar you need for lessons largely depends on the type of music you wish to play and your personal preferences. If you're a beginner, we recommend starting with an acoustic guitar as they are typically less expensive and easier to handle than electric guitars. Acoustic guitars are also a great choice if you want to learn to play folk, country, or other acoustic genres of music. If you're interested in playing rock, blues, or heavy metal, an electric guitar may be the best choice for you. Electric guitars offer more sound and tonal options, and they are more suited for playing with an amplifier. However, they are typically more expensive than acoustic guitars. No matter what type of guitar you choose, we recommend selecting a quality instrument that is comfortable to play and suits your playing style. Our instructors can also provide guidance on selecting a guitar that meets your needs and budget. ACOUSTIC GUITAR Body style: Choose a body style that is comfortable for you to play. The most common body styles are dreadnought, concert, and jumbo. Sound: The sound of a guitar is an important factor to consider. You should play several guitars and listen to the sound they produce to find one that suits your preferences. Playability: Make sure the guitar is easy to play and feels comfortable in your hands. Check the action (the distance between the strings and the fretboard) and the neck shape. Brand and reputation: Choose a guitar from a reputable brand that has a good reputation for producing high-quality instruments. Accessories: Consider any additional accessories you may need, such as a case, strap, or tuner. Get expert advice: If you are unsure about what to look for in a guitar, consider consulting with a guitar teacher or experienced player who can guide you in your decision-making process. ELECTRIC GUITAR Playing style: Consider your preferred playing style and the type of music you want to play. Different guitar models and pickups are better suited for certain styles, such as blues, rock, or metal. Sound: Think about the type of sound you want to achieve. Different types of pickups and tonewoods can affect the sound of the guitar, so consider the tonal qualities you're looking for. Budget: Determine your budget and stick to it. Electric guitars can range in price from a few hundred dollars to thousands of dollars, so it's important to know your limit. Brand and reputation: Look for reputable brands with a history of producing high-quality guitars. Read reviews and do research on the brand's reputation and reliability Playability and comfort: Test out the guitar before purchasing it to ensure that it's comfortable to play and easy to handle. Consider the weight, balance, and size of the guitar to make sure it's a good fit for you. Accessories: Don't forget to budget for accessories such as an amplifier, cables, and guitar picks. These items are necessary for playing an electric guitar and can add up in cost.
  • Do I need any prior experience to take guitar lessons?
No, prior experience is not necessary to take our guitar lessons. We welcome students of all skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced players. Our instructors will customise the lessons to your individual needs and skill level, regardless of whether you've ever played guitar before or not. Our guitar lessons are designed to provide a strong foundation in music theory and guitar techniques, while also fostering confidence and enjoyment in playing. We'll start with the basics and progress at a pace that is comfortable for you, helping you to develop your skills and achieve your musical goals. If you already have experience playing guitar, our instructors will work with you to assess your current skill level and identify areas for improvement. They will develop a personalised plan to help you further your musical knowledge and skills. In short, our guitar lessons are inclusive and accommodating to students of all skill levels. We are committed to supporting your learning and helping you achieve your goals, no matter where you're starting from.
  • How do I arrange my setup during class for online lesson?
Follow these steps for a comfortable and effective learning experience. Position your laptop at a suitable height: Adjust the height of your laptop to position your camera correctly so that your instructor can see your face, hands and guitar position. You can use a stand or a stack of books to elevate the laptop to the appropriate height. We recommend sitting on a chair without armrests to facilitate free movement of your instrument. Check your audio and video settings: Make sure your microphone and camera are working correctly by testing them in advance. Adjust your audio and video settings as needed to ensure your teacher can hear and see you clearly. Use headphones: To minimise background noise and prevent audio feedback, use headphones during the lesson. This will also help you hear your teacher more clearly. Adjust the angle of your camera: Tilt your laptop screen downwards so that the camera captures a clear view of your hands and guitar position. If necessary, you can use a stand or books to adjust the angle of your laptop. Have your lesson materials ready: Ensure you have all the lesson materials you need, such as your music books and sheet music, within reach. You can use a music stand or a desk to hold your lesson materials while you play.
  • How often should I take guitar lessons?
The frequency of lessons should be determined based on your goals, availability, and level of commitment to learning. We recommend twice-a-week lessons for beginners and late beginners. Intermediate and advance students may chose a frequency of lessons that will serve their desired pace of learning. • Are piano classes different from keyboard classes?
Conventionally, a piano class will focus on playing an acoustic piano, and will cover topics such as proper technique, note reading, music theory, and repertoire in the classical genres. A keyboard class, on the other hand, may be more focused on electronic keyboards or synthesizers with emphasis on different tones and genres such as Pop, Jazz etc. That being said, the terms "piano class" and "keyboard class" are often used interchangeably, as our classes covers both acoustic pianos and electronic keyboards as knowledge in both is a necessity for the modern musician. Our students are given hands on experience in both the Piano and the Keyboard and shares a combined curriculum that explores all genres of music relevant for study.

  • How should I purchase a piano/ keyboard?
When it comes to buying a piano for piano lessons, there are a few factors to consider. Here are some general guidelines to help you make a decision: PIANO Acoustic or digital: The first decision to make is whether to buy an acoustic or digital piano. Acoustic pianos produce sound through hammers striking strings, while digital pianos use electronic samples to mimic the sound of an acoustic piano. Digital pianos are often more affordable and require less maintenance, but some students prefer the touch and sound of an acoustic piano. Size: If you opt for an acoustic piano, you'll need to consider the size and weight of the instrument. Grand pianos are the largest and produce the richest sound, but can be too large for many homes. Upright pianos are more compact and versatile, and can be a good choice for many students. Budget: Pianos can vary greatly in price, so it's important to have a budget in mind when shopping. Digital pianos can be a more affordable option, with prices ranging from a few hundred to several thousand dollars. Acoustic pianos can range from a few thousand to tens of thousands of dollars, depending on the size, brand, and quality. Brand and quality: If you decide to buy an acoustic piano, it's important to consider the brand and quality of the instrument. Some well-known piano brands include Steinway & Sons, Yamaha, Kawai, and Baldwin. It's recommended to try out different pianos in person and consult with a piano technician or experienced teacher before making a purchase. KEYBOARD Number of keys: Keyboards can come with a variety of key options, but most keyboards have either 61 or 88 keys. For keyboard lessons, it's recommended to get a keyboard with at least 61 keys so that you have access to the full range of notes. Weighted keys: Weighted keys simulate the feel of an acoustic piano by providing resistance when you press down on the keys. If you plan on eventually transitioning to an acoustic piano, it's recommended to get a keyboard with weighted keys so that you can develop the proper finger strength and technique. Touch sensitivity: Touch sensitivity is a feature that allows the keyboard to respond to how hard or soft you press down on the keys. This can help you develop a more expressive playing style, and is recommended for keyboard lessons. Size and portability: Consider the size and weight of the keyboard if you plan on traveling with it or moving it frequently. Some keyboards are more compact and lightweight than others, making them easier to transport. Brand and quality: There are many different brands of keyboards on the market, ranging from budget-friendly to high-end options. It's recommended to research and compare different brands and models, and to try out different keyboards in person if possible. It's recommended to consult with a keyboard teacher or knowledgeable salesperson for guidance and recommendations.
